This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Promote a product to achieve or surpass sales targets within community/private practices and hospitals/health systems.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with specialists in neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pharmacy, and associated urology-related departments.
• Adhere to company policies, fulfill required reports, requests, and promotional compliance obligations.
• Effectively manage AbbVie field assets.
• Identify customer training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement needs.
• Address customer needs through appropriate AbbVie resources.
• Provide anatomical and procedural information along with training.
• Educate customers on injection paradigms, postures, anatomical insights, and injection considerations.
• Offer education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and hospital staff.
• Collaborate with fellow Account Specialists to advocate products for approved indications.
• Conduct resident/fellow training within hospital and health-system accounts.
• Utilize AbbVie sales and data resources to boost productivity and product growth.
• Implement the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of technical experience, with three or more years of sales experience preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• Ability to manage complex sales and swiftly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information.
• Strong communication, presentation, and training abilities for diverse audiences.
• Capability to lift/pull training models weighing between 25–100 lbs.
• Must meet hospital credentialing and vaccination requirements.
• Adequate travel ability to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Documented history of strong sales performance is preferred, especially in clinical, technical, or consultative sales with multiple decision-makers.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, which may involve background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain the necessary HCIR credentials.
