Account Executive, DoD – Army

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate an effective sales strategy to remain competitive.

• Oversee a designated sales territory that includes medium to large enterprise accounts.

• Keep abreast of industry trends in cloud computing, consumption models, and innovative financing solutions.

• Build and sustain the customer base effectively.

• Position Red River as a leading provider of solutions and services.

• Propel revenue and profit margins through the assigned account base.

• Stay informed about both new and existing product offerings.

• Recognize customer challenges and devise solutions tailored to their needs.

• Establish strategic relationships and influence key decision-makers.

• Identify and pursue government solicitations and potential opportunities.

• Conduct customer-facing meetings and engage with vendors, clients, and OEM partners.

• Manage activities related to prospecting, pipeline development, and forecasting.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in IT sales.

• Preferred mid-level certifications in OEM training programs.

• A college degree or associate degree is preferred.

• Technical knowledge in networking or data center infrastructure.

• Strong grasp of sales methodologies, including prospecting, pipeline management, and forecasting.

• Capability to formulate competitive account plans and strategies.

• Proficient in selling professional and managed services.

• Ability to foster relationships with C-level executives and comprehend business drivers.

• Experience in securing substantial multi-year IT annuity contracts.

• Thorough understanding of Federal Contracting and acquisition processes.

• Knowledgeable about federal budget cycles and purchasing behaviors.

• Skillful in identifying government solicitations and opportunities through public resources.

• Familiarity with industry CRM software.

• Understanding of OEM business operations and negotiation of discount structures.

• Excellent presentation skills and capability to lead customer-facing discussions.

• Ability to work effectively with or without direct management or mentorship.

• Professional and prompt communication with vendors and clients.

• Strong telephone communication skills, active listening, open-ended questioning, courteous demeanor, and technical vocabulary.

• Proficient writing skills, with attention to correct grammar, professional communication style, and technical language.

• Proven success in high-volume sales roles with multiple tasks.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Ability to maintain continuous communication with colleagues using approved communication tools and equipment.

• Capable of performing up to 100% of customer field activities.
