This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist enrolled Kolbe families by providing information on programs, enrollment options, course offerings, and requirements through phone, email, chat, and virtual presentations.
• Collaborate with parents to create academic plans utilizing Kolbe courses tailored to each student’s goals, abilities, and educational needs.
• Offer continuous support and advice regarding Kolbe’s curriculum, educational philosophy, instructional methods, college preparation, and related topics.
• Evaluate course registrations and requested changes for compliance with prerequisites, graduation requirements, and academic standards.
• Maintain proactive communication with families and students throughout the academic year.
• Track student progress in academics, graduation, and long-term academic planning.
• Act as an accountability mentor for assigned students.
• Assist students during the college application process.
• Work with staff to deliver coordinated support and resources for families.
• Oversee the delivery of student records.
• Engage in advising-team initiatives and take on specialized or leadership roles as necessary.
• Manage a portfolio of assigned families, serving as their primary contact.
• Practicing Catholic willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and make a Profession of Faith.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience in homeschooling.
• Part-time advisors are expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule of 5 hours per day in coordination with the Advising Manager.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
• Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in the Kolbe program, especially those who have graduated students from Kolbe Academy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a professional and friendly phone demeanor.
• Ability to work independently while juggling multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfort with utilizing multiple technology platforms.
• Advanced computer proficiency is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desired.
• Familiarity with classical and/or Ignatian methodologies is preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
