ABSITE Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct personalized tutoring sessions for surgical residents through online platforms.

• Create tailored study plans and schedules for individual learners.

• Offer comprehensive feedback on practice examinations and assignments.

• Develop thorough ABSITE curriculum materials that adhere to the most current test guidelines.

• Formulate lesson plans that focus on essential exam subjects.

• Provide ABSITE instruction utilizing effective pedagogical methods.

• Deliver personalized feedback that emphasizes improvement and strategic success.

• Monitor and evaluate student performance, adapting strategies as necessary.

• Maintain weekly contact with each student to ensure adherence to the curriculum.

• Liaise with Residents Medical regarding the progress of each student.

• Ensure timely responses to all student emails within a 24-hour timeframe.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in surgery.

• Board certification or eligibility in general surgery is highly desirable.

• Experience in surgical education with a thorough understanding of the ABSITE exam's content and format.

• A proven history of assisting students or residents in achieving high scores on standardized tests.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex topics.

• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail in crafting study plans and educational materials.

• A genuine passion for teaching and dedication to the academic and professional development of surgical residents.

• Proficient in effective communication and collaborative work in a teaching or mentorship context.

• Skilled in curriculum design, engaging classroom instruction, and assessing student development.
