z/OS Network Systems Administrator – Long Term Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee z/OS network systems from a remote location

• Collaborate with IBM z/OS Communication Server

• Administer and resolve issues related to VTAM, TCP/IP, TN3270, FTP, Policy Agent, and SMTP

• Access, navigate, and manage z/OS environments

• Handle TSO, ISPF, JCL, VSAM, and catalog management

• Utilize z/OS and JES2 operator commands

• Create automation scripts using TSO/REXX, TSO/CLIST, or SAS

• Provide mainframe connectivity support for MQ, DB2, CICS, and related middleware

• Diagnose issues pertaining to file transmission, printing, and email infrastructure

• Design monitoring and reporting tools

• Work in conjunction with Enterprise Network Services and Security teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with IBM z/OS Communication Server

• In-depth knowledge of VTAM, TCP/IP, TN3270, FTP, Policy Agent, and SMTP

• Proficient in accessing, navigating, and managing z/OS environments

• Experience with TSO, ISPF, JCL, VSAM, and catalog management

• Familiarity with z/OS and JES2 operator commands

• Skill in TSO/REXX, TSO/CLIST, or SAS scripting for automation

• Experience in supporting mainframe connectivity for MQ, DB2, CICS, and related middleware

• Ability to troubleshoot file transmission, printing, and email infrastructure

• Expertise in developing monitoring and reporting tools

• Proven collaboration with Enterprise Network Services and Security teams
