Zonal Routing Engineer – Rear Zone Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the redesign of front suspension systems for cutting-edge electric vehicles.

• Shift from transverse leaf springs to coil-over spring configurations.

• Ensure alignment with steering, driveline, and chassis systems.

• Establish engineering requirements for components and systems.

• Generate and refine engineering designs and concepts.

• Conduct packaging, tolerance, and feasibility assessments.

• Develop CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering releases.

• Assist with CAE, prototype production, testing, sourcing, and validation efforts.

• Address design, manufacturing, quality, and launch challenges.

• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients.

• Oversee engineering modifications and documentation management.

• Utilize experience in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in automotive/commercial vehicle engineering within the relevant field.

• More than 2 years of CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience, or V5).

• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis.

• Understanding of DFMA & Serviceability principles.

• Familiarity with zonal electrical architectures, harness routing, and module placement.

• Capability to define packaging and routing for electrical power and data distribution systems.

• Experience in coordinating interfaces with autonomy hardware, power electronics, closures, and body systems.

• Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and load management.
