Senior HPC Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Support customers in enhancing HPC applications through GPU acceleration.

• Evaluate High Performance Computing applications to gain insights into their performance traits.

• Offer guidance and lead compiler and applications engineering teams based on the analysis of HPC applications.

• Examine applications that range from single-core synthetic benchmarks to distributed-memory systems utilizing heterogeneous CPUs, GPUs, and many-core processors.

• Pinpoint optimization opportunities for both compiler development and application engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.

• Over 8 years of programming experience.

• Strong grasp of Fortran/C/C++, particularly programming methodologies for parallel architectures, with a preference for compilers.

• Familiarity with OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, and CUDA.

• Proficient skills in performance analysis and optimization.

• Comprehensive knowledge of tools for parallel application development and runtime environments.

• Strong mathematical foundations, including linear algebra and numerical methods.

• Awareness of performance considerations, trade-offs, and their implications.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities, a logical approach to problem-solving, and effective time management and task prioritization skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
