YouTube Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to grasp the objectives, branding, and vision for each video project.

• Transform raw video footage into captivating, high-quality content ready for publication.

• Develop custom graphics and animation elements as required to align with client branding.

• Source and integrate appropriate music or sound effects into videos.

• Apply SEO strategies to enhance video content for YouTube's search algorithm.

• Provide final video files in the appropriate format for each platform.

• Effectively manage, back up, and organize all video files.

• Remain informed about YouTube's policies, emerging trends, and best practices.

• Continuously seek ways to enhance and streamline the editing process to fulfill client requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional video editing experience, preferably within the YouTube environment.

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve (whichever you are most comfortable with).

• Strong storytelling abilities with a solid understanding of pacing and narrative structure.

• Familiarity with SEO strategies for YouTube and a solid grasp of its policies.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen sense of visual aesthetics.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

• Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet stringent deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style.

• A portfolio or reel that showcases your editing skills is required.

• Fluency in English is essential (additional languages are a plus).

• Bonus points for prior experience with YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and Search Console.

• Bonus points for experience in an agency setting.

• Bonus points for experience with a SaaS start-up.

• Having your own YouTube channel is a significant advantage.
