This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ghana.
• Provide strategic direction and recommendations to ensure the initiative is in line with the Foundation’s framework for refugees and displaced individuals, its goals, and anticipated outcomes.
• Contribute insights and feedback on the design and execution of the DREEM initiative.
• Suggest improvements on the content and delivery methods for trainings and workshops.
• Serve as ambassadors and advocates for the DREEM initiative.
• Assist in organizing events for the inclusion of refugees and displaced persons, both in-person and virtual.
• Aid in the dissemination of information and the establishment of connections and opportunities with existing networks of refugee and displaced youth.
• Support initiatives aimed at community engagement.
• Personal experience of forced displacement (refugee, asylum seeker, internally displaced person, returnee, or stateless individual).
• Ability to provide insightful and constructive feedback.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Dedication to community development.
• Commitment to empowering youth leadership.
• Proven experience in community leadership roles.
• Fluency in French or Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
• Experience with organizations led by refugees, funding opportunities, access to economic prospects, or inclusion in higher education is advantageous.
• Modest monthly stipend and communication allowance (USD 150 or equivalent per month).
• Access to the YAB Community Fund (up to USD 10,000 for initiatives aligned with DREEM project priorities).
• Expenses related to participation in meetings or project activities will be covered by WUSC.
