Principal Investigator – Health, Systematic Reviews

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conduct and manage systematic reviews within public health and related fields, including PICO formulation, search strategy development, screening, data extraction, and risk-of-bias evaluation.

• Assist in GRADE evidence assessments and the creation of Evidence-to-Decision frameworks.

• Facilitate evidence synthesis to inform health policy, ranging from clinical screening guidelines to prioritization exercises for research.

• Collaborate with AI-assisted review tools alongside the human review team.

• Aid in the development of quality indicators associated with guideline recommendations.

• Support project reporting, stakeholder coordination, and logistics for Working Groups.

• Contribute to the preparation of new tenders and proposals for contracts related to evidence synthesis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in systematic reviews (minimum of 2 reviews as an author or member of a review team).

• A strong understanding of Cochrane methodology, PRISMA guidelines, and/or the GRADE approach.

• Proficiency in at least one statistical or analytical tool (e.g., R, Python).

• Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• Experience utilizing AI/ML tools in evidence synthesis or health data analysis (e.g., AI-assisted screening, text mining, bibliometrics) is highly advantageous.

• Publications related to cancer, screening, health technology assessment (HTA), or guideline development are a significant plus.

• Familiarity with meta-analysis software such as RevMan, GRADEpro, or Covidence is considered a strong asset.

• Previous involvement in EU-funded projects or work with EU institutions is a notable advantage.

• Experience in drafting policy or regulatory documents is a valuable asset.
