šŸ“‹ Description

• Standardize and refine complex Google Sheets models for improved structure, readability, maintainability, and traceability.

• Conduct audits of interconnected spreadsheets, identifying fragile dependencies, clarifying inputs and outputs, and simplifying unnecessary complexity while maintaining robust forecasting methodologies.

• Set conventions for tabs, formulas, input areas, assumptions, checks, file naming, permissions, and handoff documentation.

• Assess models for data integrity, formula consistency, broken links, outdated inputs, hard-coded values, and potential production risks.

• Reverse-engineer undocumented models and document source data, refresh procedures, dependencies, assumptions, business rules, calculations, outputs, limitations, and failure modes.

• Organize Google Drive folders and model inventories; archive outdated or redundant versions while retaining historical sources of truth.

• Develop runbooks and handoff materials that enable analysts to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the work effectively.

• Assist in the ongoing workforce planning and forecasting cycle, approximately from the 20th to the 10th of each month.

• Manage ingestion, file preparation, formatting, reconciliation, and quality assurance within live production processes.

• Enhance Jira workflow structures and create checklists and repeatable procedures for recurring analytical tasks.

• Generate standardized model outputs and reusable FP&A and Operations pre-read templates.

• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend review, decision, and action requirements; collect feedback and transform useful insights into operational standards.

• Enhance traceability from source data and assumptions through model outputs and reporting.

• Implement quality controls, peer-review processes, versioning standards, and documentation requirements.

• Independently retrieve and validate source data; utilize Apps Script, light Python, or other automation tools as needed.

• Deliver precise, reproducible, and well-documented work while safeguarding workforce data privacy.

• Take ownership of defined workstreams and ensure lasting improvements throughout the ~4-month scoped project.

ā›³ļø Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in analytics, workforce planning, FP&A analytics, operations analytics, or a related data-centric field, with a track record of managing projects from start to finish.

• Proven experience in developing spreadsheet tools that others rely on and maintaining them through actual operational cycles.

• Advanced expertise in Google Sheets, encompassing complex formulas, interconnected files, data validation, error management, performance considerations, and large-scale cross-file references.

• Direct experience in reverse-engineering undocumented or poorly documented spreadsheet models and articulating their functionality to others.

• Familiarity with supporting FP&A, workforce planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, or a similar ongoing planning process where traceability and adherence to deadlines are critical.

• Capability to independently pull, inspect, and validate data using SQL or a comparable querying or data-extraction tool.

• Strong skills in stakeholder discovery, including the ability to extract requirements from partners who may not have clearly defined specifications.

• Demonstrated experience in documenting and successfully handing off work, with specific instances of teams continuing to operate tools post-consultant or analyst departure.

• Ability to navigate a live production cycle, balance competing deadlines, and escalate risks before they impact monthly deliverables.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly explaining model logic and data issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Willingness to engage in detailed, repetitive, and operationally essential tasks, including file organization, version cleanup, archiving, reconciliation, and formatting.

šŸļø Benefits

• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
