This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee a desk and a portfolio of workers’ compensation claims in a professional and efficient manner.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations of claims, including assessments of coverage, liability, and exposure.
• Assess claim exposure and uphold precise and timely reserves.
• Administer litigation processes and collaborate with defense counsel as necessary.
• Analyze claims for potential settlement and facilitate negotiations with claimants and attorneys.
• Track and manage medical treatment activities and the progression of claims.
• Ensure claim documentation is accurate, timely, and well-organized within the claims system.
• Guarantee that claim payments are executed accurately and punctually.
• Aid in the development of timely and compliant strategies for claim resolution.
• Maintain ongoing communication with employers, injured workers, attorneys, medical providers, and clients throughout the claims process.
• Engage in mandatory training and stay informed about the workers’ compensation statutes relevant to the assigned state.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
• Experience in handling workers’ compensation claims is required.
• Experience with lost time workers’ compensation claims is advantageous.
• Familiarity with litigation management and settlement negotiations is beneficial.
• Must be a resident of the state of Tennessee.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and effective decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Professional and customer-oriented approach when engaging with clients and claimants.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of learning new systems.
