Claims Ceded Reinsurance Access Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acts as a subject matter expert for the complete ceded reinsurance procedure within the Claims department.

• Evaluates all reinsurance claims finalized by team members.

• Engages in departmental projects.

• Functions as the main point of contact for Claims Leadership and IT.

• Assesses and processes ACH rejection notices for CLMS and ClaimCenter.

• Oversees and manages the workload in the coding and closeout procedure.

• Reviews and authenticates all reinsurance tasks conducted by team members.

• Handles reinsurance inquiries by triaging, assigning, and monitoring responses.

• Contributes to departmental and corporate initiatives.

• Collaborates with IT to improve and sustain ceded reinsurance reporting functionalities.

• Conducts and monitors annual access audits.

• Offers training and support to team members regarding ceded reinsurance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in insurance, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Five years of experience in claims, accounting, data reporting, or similar roles.

• Preferred experience or certifications in the insurance industry (e.g., INS, AIC, CPCU).

• Comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, claims philosophy, procedures, and terminology.

• Strong knowledge of claims data reporting.

• Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
