Workday Reporting, Compensation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Responsible for designing, configuring, and testing reports and dashboards in accordance with functional requirements for various business process streams and Workday modules.

• Evaluates existing reports to continuously enhance them; contributes to the overall harmonization and optimization of reports, focusing on a streamlined setup; accountable for promptly identifying and escalating risks while developing alternative technical solutions when necessary.

• Promotes a data-driven mindset and fosters data literacy within Workday stream communities. Ensures data quality in Workday and the provision of valuable, reliable data.

• Evaluates risks related to data storage.

• Addresses 3rd level support tickets concerning reporting and compensation.

• Aids in the configuration and testing of compensation solutions in alignment with the technical and functional compensation stream lead.

• Assists the technical/functional compensation stream lead during the specification and qualification of new requests and solutions, ensuring adherence to established guidelines for new demands in the Workday context. Analyzes and challenges requests, identifying cross-stream impacts.

• Designs, configures, and tests system solutions within the Workday Compensation module.

• Reviews current processes and provides data-driven recommendations for enhancements.

• Instructs Workday stream communities and stream leads on new technical features and supports internal Workday training initiatives (e.g., conducts reporting training for key users or develops content for such sessions).

• Remains updated on the Workday reporting and compensation roadmap, maintaining knowledge of the latest Workday release content and technical features related to reporting and dashboards.

• Acts as a Workday Reporting expert with extensive knowledge of current functionalities, design concepts, relevant functional areas, and considerations for future product directions.

• Mentors team members and actively shares insights to enhance their self-sufficiency in reporting.

• Collaborates with external partners and networks with Workday and other Workday clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in informatics, business informatics, business intelligence, or a related field.

• Ideally possesses Workday Pro certification in reporting/compensation (or equivalent experience).

• Previous experience in configuring modern cloud HCM systems, preferably Workday Compensation/Reporting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite reports) along with advanced knowledge of calculated fields.

• Understanding of Workday’s security model to ensure reports adhere to user roles and permissions.

• Fluent in English; knowledge of an additional language (e.g., German) is advantageous.

• Ideally familiar with Workday PRISM Analytics.

• Ideally possesses skills in using BIRT for creating highly formatted custom reports.

• Ideally knowledgeable about compliance and regulatory reporting requirements in HR.

• Ideally experienced in data modeling and SQL.

• Strong time management and self-management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capable of explaining complex technical subjects in an easily understandable manner.

• Analytical with a structured approach to work and strong problem-solving skills.

• Interest in interdisciplinary and international teamwork.

• Dependable, adaptable, resilient, and amiable.

• Curiosity and an understanding of innovations in IT and HR.

• Open-minded with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
