This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Directs and executes the technical development for functional activities aimed at maintaining and enhancing Kenco’s Warehouse Management Systems.
• Effectively communicates solution capabilities and assesses business needs while considering integration complexity and architectural constraints.
• Provides essential user support, ensuring that the system fulfills necessary business functions and upholds data integrity.
• Leads the business process analysis or design/construction phase of projects, culminating in the creation of functional specifications.
• Defines and outlines the application scope and objectives, developing or modifying procedures to address complex business issues.
• Creates functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that align with customers' business goals and are well-designed.
• Conducts system configuration for the WMS system.
• Trains staff on system usage and related devices.
• Develops test cases and plans to complete unit testing.
• Provides on-call support for production applications.
• Monitors and adjusts application performance to enhance response times.
• Acts as a functional liaison, participating in and contributing to crucial meetings with the Product Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, including top executive project sponsors.
• Possesses strong domain knowledge in WMS solutions to design a comprehensive architecture for both current and future customer business requirements.
• Advises customers on industry best practices and process methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• At least 7-10 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Familiarity with foundational WMS technologies, which may include C#, Java, HTML, Groovy, Jasper, or other technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, vendors, users, customers, and colleagues.
• Capable of logically presenting issues and potential enhancements.
• Working knowledge and experience with EDI formats including X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, or others.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience in the Warehousing or Logistics Industry.
• Familiarity with formal project management practices.
• Understanding of formal systems development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
