This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Administer, manage, and troubleshoot environments based on Microsoft Windows Server.
• Provide senior-level assistance for issues related to Windows workstations and server-connected endpoints.
• Construct, configure, maintain, and resolve issues with Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines.
• Set up and support Hyper-V in both domain and workgroup scenarios.
• Oversee Active Directory domains and related identity services.
• Support hybrid Microsoft identity environments, including Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Active Directory.
• Perform proactive server maintenance, monitoring, and reviews of system health.
• Investigate and resolve intricate incidents involving Windows Server, workstations, and virtualization.
• Serve as an escalation point for matters requiring advanced expertise in Microsoft infrastructure.
• Diagnose issues related to performance, authentication, access, connectivity, and services.
• Utilize PowerShell and Windows command-line tools for administration, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Assist with server builds, upgrades, configuration changes, and enhancements to infrastructure.
• Keep precise technical documentation, ticket records, system notes, and resolution details.
• Collaborate with the broader technical team and provide mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
• Clearly communicate technical findings, risks, and recommended actions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Appropriately escalate issues when additional expertise or vendor support is necessary.
• Approximately five to six years of pertinent experience in Microsoft infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Strong practical experience in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Proven experience in supporting Windows workstations in business or customer environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in constructing, configuring, and managing Hyper-V environments.
• Experience in administering Active Directory domains and related identity services.
• A strong history of resolving complex Level 3 infrastructure escalations.
• Ability to independently diagnose technical issues and take ownership until resolution.
• Experience in customer-facing IT support, consulting, or managed services environments.
• A proactive approach to learning new Microsoft technologies and infrastructure platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A proactive, accountable, and self-directed approach to work.
• Methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Consistent and clear technical documentation skills.
