This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, and implement test plans and test cases for Windows-based applications and systems.
• Validate software packages, installations, upgrades, and configurations within Windows environments.
• Conduct QA validation on endpoint management solutions, including deployments of Microsoft Intune.
• Test and troubleshoot issues related to the Windows OS across various versions, including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
• Provide support and validation for VM environments, encompassing provisioning, configuration, and testing.
• Install, configure, and resolve issues in Hyper-V environments and virtual machines.
• Validate file system operations, permissions, and processes related to enterprise file management.
• Execute regression, functional, and system testing across enterprise IT workflows.
• Document defects comprehensively and collaborate with development teams to facilitate resolution.
• Assist in automation initiatives where relevant to enhance QA efficiency.
• 3–6+ years of experience in QA Engineering with a strong focus on the Windows ecosystem.
• Hands-on expertise with Windows OS versions 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or comparable endpoint/device management platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of software packaging, installation, and troubleshooting processes.
• Proficient in working with virtual machines and virtualization platforms.
• Practical experience with Hyper-V installation, configuration, and support.
• Background in IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support environments.
• Solid understanding of file systems, permissions, and enterprise file management practices.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and skills in root cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Preferred: experience with test automation tools or scripting, with a preference for PowerShell.
• Preferred: familiarity with Azure-based environments and cloud-managed endpoints.
• Preferred: exposure to security practices, patching, and vulnerability validation.
• Preferred: experience in enterprise IT environments supporting multiple users/endpoints.
