This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Contribute to the development of the Tailscale product by working on client code and backend services.
• Focus particularly on our Windows platform, developing and maintaining the Windows client.
• Collaborate with engineers to create a native Windows desktop client utilizing Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and Go.
• Implement support for the latest features of the Windows platform.
• Develop and enhance product features on Windows, emphasizing UI components and integration with the platform.
• Create and sustain unit and integration tests leveraging Microsoft Testing Platform v2 and xUnit.
• Contribute to shared, cross-platform Tailscale code.
• A minimum of four years of experience in software development.
• Strong grasp of software development principles and an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the Windows platform.
• Proficiency in C# and contemporary native UI frameworks (WinUI/UWP/WPF).
• Familiarity with general networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, IP Networking, routing, etc.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to provide and accept constructive feedback, along with the ability to work independently.
