Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly (either remotely or on-site when required) with customer engineering teams to design and develop real-time applications utilizing LiveKit.

• Create scalable architectures for voice AI, real-time media, and developer platform scenarios.

• Develop prototype integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications to expedite customer development processes.

• Assist customers in navigating SDKs, APIs, infrastructure, and deployment strategies for their production systems.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues within production environments.

• Facilitate technical workshops and architecture discussions with developers and product teams.

• Convert customer requirements into technical insights that guide product and platform development.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance developer experience, documentation, and tooling.

• Contribute code, examples, or enhancements to LiveKit's open-source community when beneficial.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, assisting customers in successfully launching and scaling applications on LiveKit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid engineering background with over 5 years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering.

• Expertise in one or more programming languages, including Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++.

• Proficient in working across APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in building or integrating developer platforms or real-time systems.

• Capable of rapidly understanding complex systems and troubleshooting issues in real-world environments.

• Excellent communicator who can effectively collaborate with customer engineering teams and internal product teams.
