This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Interact with industry end-users, professionals (including architects and general contractors), and aftermarket stakeholders through both outbound and inbound initiatives.
• Recognize their unmet requirements and essential technical factors, delivering the most appropriate Avery Dennison solutions.
• Manage the complete technical sales process, from initial contact and application specification or recommendation to installer hand-off and support, culminating in closing the deal or project.
• Act as the main point of contact throughout the sales cycle for specialized flat glass projects, ensuring a smooth transition to technical installation partners or collaborating with Regional Sales Managers when an on-site presence is necessary.
• Discover and assess new opportunities, leveraging existing technologies for both new and current customers.
• Generate leads by proactively identifying new prospects through various screening methods, unveiling new business opportunities, and pinpointing key decision-makers within the customer's organization.
• Present solutions from the Avery Dennison product lines through samples and technical support/tools.
• Advocate for and sell new product innovations.
• Follow up with prospects and existing clients to foster repeat business and maximize business potential.
• Conduct phone conversations (primarily) and document all sales activities using Google Suite and Salesforce platforms.
• Adhere to a detailed methodology for call planning, execution, and follow-up.
• Build and sustain relationships with potential and current customers.
• Understand the industry dynamics and value chain.
• Stay informed about market conditions, including current and future material requirements, growth strategies, and competitive landscape.
• Relay insights from channel partners, architects, and end-users to the internal organization.
• Remain updated on territory and market trends.
• Continuously evaluate targeted territory analytics for opportunities and lead conversion.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Architecture/Flat Glass required.
• Experience with Automotive Window Films is advantageous.
• At least 8 years of experience in business development, customer service, sales, marketing, or other directly related fields.
• Strong understanding of glazing systems, NFRC standards, and building energy codes preferred.
• Proficient in evaluating customer needs to transform them into business opportunities.
• Capability in data mining.
• Ability to sell, support, and foster positive relationships over the phone.
• Skilled in conducting territory analysis and strategic planning.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude for effective virtual communication via video conferencing and phone calls.
• High level of organizational skills and time management.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Basic negotiation, financial, and business acumen skills required.
• Proficiency with relevant computer systems, Salesforce.com, and Google Suite.
• Experience with specification & project platforms such as Dodge Construction Network, Dodge Pipeline, Arcat, BSD SpecLink, or MasterSpec.
• Results-driven and adept at multitasking.
• Flexibility to support new business initiatives and product launches.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
