This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +17 more states.
• Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind farms across the U.S., utilizing air or truck for cross-country travel.
• Conduct composite blade repairs at height using platforms, rope access, and occasionally perform tasks on the ground.
• Execute epoxy and polyester resin wet layup procedures.
• Carry out vacuum infusion processes.
• Work with balsa and foam sandwich materials.
• Perform structural repairs as needed.
• Complete detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and QAQC reports.
• Conduct onsite stock assessments.
• Support the site lead and project coordinator as required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in composite repair.
• Experience with platform and/or rope access techniques.
• Familiarity with epoxy and polyester resins, as well as wet lay-up and vacuum bag methods.
• Knowledge of handling balsa and foam core materials.
• Understanding of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair processes.
• Capability to safely and effectively use powered hand tools.
• Knowledge of quality specifications, including temperature and humidity restrictions.
• Proficient in reading complex technical drawings and processes.
• IT literate, including proficiency in email, internet, and iPad usage.
• Willingness to spend time away from home while in the field.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in project scope.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and accept guidance.
• Possession of a valid, current driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of climbing ladders multiple times a day, reaching heights of up to 300 feet/90 meters, as well as bending, crawling, stooping, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
