This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Assist with prior authorization requests while ensuring they are handled appropriately within contractual deadlines.
β’ Support the utilization management team in recording authorization requests.
β’ Acquire precise and timely documentation for member healthcare eligibility and access.
β’ Facilitate authorization requests in accordance with the insurance prior authorization list.
β’ Execute data entry tasks to maintain and refresh authorization requests in the utilization management system.
β’ Help track and document authorizations and referrals in line with policies and guidelines.
β’ Record medical information such as history, diagnosis, and prognosis for the clinical reviewer's determination.
β’ Keep informed about healthcare, authorization processes, policies, and procedures.
β’ Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
β’ Adhere to all policies and standards.
β’ Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
β’ High School diploma or GED is required.
β’ This is an entry-level position that requires little to no prior experience.
β’ Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
β’ Understanding of insurance processes is preferred.
β’ Must be willing to work flexible weekend hours.
