This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage in the onboarding and training of auditors in relation to CCEPP certification standards, audit methodologies, documentation necessities, and safety protocols.
• Analyze company competency frameworks, technician assessment initiatives, evaluation records, and quality assurance measures.
• Assess evaluation systems for their rigor, objectivity, consistency, and alignment with CCEPP certification competencies.
• Review technician evaluation methods, pass/fail criteria, documentation practices, and safety requirements.
• Conduct field observations in operational wind environments to validate assessment processes and technician competencies.
• Observe company assessors as they perform technician evaluations to ensure adherence to documented procedures.
• Independently evaluate a representative sample of technicians involved in company validation reviews.
• Document findings utilizing the CCEPP audit framework and accompanying evaluation tools.
• Identify program strengths, weaknesses, risks, and areas for enhancement.
• Provide impartial recommendations and supporting evidence for certification decisions.
• Compile a detailed audit report that encompasses the company's competency validation process, competency alignment, assessment rigor, field observations, technician verification, gaps, risks, inconsistencies, remediation needs, and suggestions regarding validation eligibility and certification pathways.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in wind operations, technician training, workforce certification, competency assessment, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in wind technician safety and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with certification programs, competency-based training systems, or workforce assessment frameworks.
• Strong understanding of wind technician competencies and field operations.
• Capacity to impartially evaluate training and assessment programs.
• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and report-writing capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to consistently assess technical information.
• Capability to conduct field observations safely and professionally within active wind energy environments.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with company representatives and industry stakeholders.
• Must complete all required auditor training prior to conducting audits.
• Required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and abstain from participating in audits where such conflicts exist.
• Must sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements concerning company information and technician records.
• Experience as an instructor, trainer, assessor, evaluator, or auditor in the wind industry is a plus.
• Experience in developing competency models, qualification standards, or assessment methodologies is a plus.
• Background in performing quality assurance reviews or compliance audits is a plus.
• Familiarity with nationally recognized certification standards and credentialing programs is a plus.
• Contractor (temporary) or Independent Contractor (1099).
• Remote work arrangement (with required travel).
