This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +5 more states.
• Perform on-site evaluations and inspections at client locations.
• Utilize company software to document and record current equipment and system details.
• Assist in formulating project recommendations and estimating potential energy savings.
• Help in identifying issues within mechanical systems and contribute to solution development.
• Collaborate with seasoned team members who offer training, support, and feedback.
• Aid in planning and executing assigned project tasks.
• Coordinate activities with team members, contractors, and clients.
• Adhere to established protocols, company standards, and project specifications.
• Manage several projects simultaneously, providing consistent updates to management.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Conduct work in mechanical rooms and industrial settings.
• Carry out project documentation, reporting, analysis, and administrative tasks from a home office when not traveling.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Prior experience in auditing, energy management, construction, or a relevant industry is required.
• A foundational understanding of building systems such as HVAC, water, steam, and building envelope systems is essential.
• Familiarity with estimating, bidding, or project documentation practices is an advantage.
• Previous experience in gathering and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of engineering and mechanical system principles.
• Competence in collecting, organizing, and accurately analyzing data.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• High attention to detail is crucial.
• Willingness to learn about new technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic comprehension of project costs, return on investment (ROI), and energy-saving opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in both field and remote work settings.
• Willingness to travel 80–90% of the time.
• Capability to walk through commercial, industrial, and construction environments for extended durations.
• Ability to access mechanical rooms, equipment areas, rooftops, and other building system locations.
• Competence in climbing stairs and ladders and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty, dirty, hot, cold, or poorly lit environments.
• Capacity to safely operate around mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment while adhering to applicable safety protocols.
