This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Conduct audits of legacy systems to pinpoint content for migration, archiving, or removal.
• Align legacy content with the new information architecture and templates.
• Migrate digital assets utilizing automated tools, scripts, or manual entry methods.
• Redesign page layouts in accordance with design and brand guidelines.
• Review migrated pages for content precision and data integrity.
• Validate and refresh header hierarchies, internal links, and redirects.
• Enhance media assets by ensuring proper scaling and providing descriptive alt text.
• Confirm that pages comply with accessibility and web performance standards.
• Apply technical SEO best practices, focusing on canonicalization and semantic structure.
• Oversee daily website content management, ensuring clarity in messaging, branding, and accessibility.
• Offer insights on university content guidelines.
• Support the Associate Director for Communications in website visual design, usability, multimedia, and strategic planning.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Additional education may be considered in lieu of required experience according to the JHU equivalency formula.
• Strong attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of analyzing data and applying insights effectively.
• Familiarity with website user experience standards and best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as AEM, Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, or proprietary systems.
• Knowledge of migration tools including ShareGate, BitTitan, Metalogix, or AvePoint.Data.
• Proficient in advanced Excel/Google Sheets, Jira, and Confluence.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Preferred experience with web-based content management systems, JavaScript, JQuery, Drupal, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
