Web Frontend Engineer, Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create significant web experiences across Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets.

• Develop intricate interactions that include real-time messaging, collaborative editing, rich-text editing, scheduling, tables, and spreadsheets.

• Construct reusable frontend architecture and components that can be utilized across various company applications.

• Incorporate streaming AI responses, proactive actions, and model-driven experiences into product workflows.

• Take ownership of frontend performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility across different browsers and devices.

• Work in collaboration with product and design teams to transform ideas from prototype to production.

• Ensure that users can communicate, write, organize, and collaborate effortlessly across applications.

• Guarantee that complex interactions are perceived as fast and reliable.

• Seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into product workflows.

• Maintain a fast, manageable, and reusable frontend architecture as the company grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential.

• Significant experience in building complex, production-level web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies.

• Profound understanding of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance optimization.

• Experience in creating highly interactive products such as chat, collaboration tools, productivity applications, document editing, calendars, or workspaces.

• Familiarity with real-time systems, WebSockets, streaming APIs, or collaborative interfaces.

• Strong judgment regarding product and User Interface (UI) with a keen eye for interaction details.

• Capable of independently managing features from technical design to production.

• Must be willing to complete a 60-minute coding assessment.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React.js / Next.js, HTML / CSS, WebSockets / Streaming APIs, Node.js, and REST / GraphQL APIs.
