This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Web Applications Programmer is accountable for the coding and deployment of user interface, web service, and database applications for the public-facing website, employee intranet, and components that connect third-party systems with our web applications and hosting system.
• Create, code, and implement solutions developed in .NET while focusing on user experience and cross-browser compatibility for both new and existing software initiatives.
• Investigate, analyze, design, document, develop test plans, and prototype enterprise web applications and solutions that work with third-party systems.
• Analyze, code, troubleshoot, debug, and implement enterprise web interface components using HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Visual C#.NET, SOAP, REST, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, JSON, and SQL.
• Support the management of all web programming, including the integration of approved content on the site, file management, site maintenance, database management, archiving, and record management.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws pertinent to the role.
• Collaborate with other members of the Web Applications and IT Programming teams to develop enterprise-wide applications and integrate them with third-party systems.
• Oversee interface programming and the integration of web applications with backend databases.
• Ensure quality assurance for all e-applications, including unit testing and source code management for version control and lifecycle oversight.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, security standards, and current technologies related to web programming, applying this knowledge to all programming tasks.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• EXPERIENCE: At least 7 years of experience in web development and maintenance. A minimum of 4 years of experience with .NET/C#. At least 1 year of experience with Sitecore.
• KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, C#, WCF, ASP.NET, Entity Framework) and related development environments (Visual Studio, TFS). Proven expertise in developing, troubleshooting, and implementing software code that includes at least the following: HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, JSON, and SQL. Additionally, experience with multi-tier software architecture, object-oriented design, requirements gathering, Agile, and Waterfall SDLC, along with a solid understanding of core systems infrastructure (operating systems, web servers, databases, etc.).
