BMC Remedy/Helix Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise regarding application and integration capabilities.

• Collect requirements and produce documentation for both requirements and design.

• Conduct presentations and product demonstrations.

• Develop implementation guides and testing scripts.

• Create workflows and integrations using Developer Studio and Innovation Studio.

• Design forms, fields, workflows, and data import files for Foundation and Transactional Data.

• Build REST API, web service, and LDAP integrations connecting Helix to external systems.

• Create Digital Workplace service offerings.

• Handle incident assignments and maintain communication with customers within service-level agreements.

• Generate follow-on change requests and Jira stories.

• Prepare and manage change requests while adhering to operating procedures.

• Oversee and update the production environment.

• Achieve key performance indicator targets.

• Assist with customer onboarding, ad-hoc requests, ongoing support, and continuous service improvement.

• Identify discrepancies between standard workflows and custom requirements.

• Offer out-of-the-box solutions to reduce the need for customization.

• Ensure system integrity through configuration control and change management.

• Manage sprint workloads, project deliverables, milestones, and minimize technical debt.

• Provide demonstrations of products completed during sprints.

• Maintain professional communication with customers, peers, and leadership.

• Engage in on-call rotation, daily scrums, sprint planning, technical implementation reviews, and approved service interruption change windows.

• Collaborate within a remote team environment, supporting both scheduled and ad-hoc video/audio meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software development experience.

• Capability to obtain and retain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to commencement.

• BMC Accredited Administrator or equivalent experience with Remedy/Helix Developer Studio.

• Familiarity with SaaS solutions or AWS Cloud environments.

• Experience with BMC Remedy version 23.x or newer.

• Knowledge of ITIL methodologies.

• Experience with Helix/Remedy application process flows.

• Expert knowledge of one or more 23.x+ Helix applications, such as Incident Management, Remedy Knowledge Management, Change Management, Task Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Service Request Management, Work Order Management, Smart Reporting, Helix Dashboards, Smart IT, Digital Workplace Portal, CMDB, or Asset Management.

• Experience with Pentaho Spoon, BMC HDM, REST API, or web services for system interfaces or data migration.

• Background in Agile project methodology.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in creating and editing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.

• Advanced skills in data analysis using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

• Ability to create and articulate process flows using Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools.

• Experience managing documentation in Microsoft SharePoint.

• Fundamental understanding of relational databases.

• Knowledge of networking concepts and OSI rules.

• Skill in using logging for issue troubleshooting.

• Experience in delivering customer demonstrations.

• Ability to collect and document customer requirements.

• Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with team members.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

• Possession of CompTIA Security+ CE certification; must obtain within 3 months of starting.

• Bachelor's degree; additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Weekly scheduled hours: 40.
