BMC Remedy/Helix Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise on application and integration functionalities

• Collect requirements and prepare as well as deliver presentations and demonstrations

• Draft requirements, design documentation, implementation guides, and test scripts

• Create workflows and integrations using Developer Studio and Innovation Studio

• Develop forms, fields, workflows, and data import files for Foundation and Transactional Data

• Implement REST API, WebService, and LDAP integrations between Helix and external systems

• Formulate Digital Workplace service offerings

• Handle incident assignments and communicate with clients within service-level agreements

• Generate follow-on change requests and Jira stories

• Organize and coordinate change requests while adhering to prescribed operational procedures

• Maintain and refresh the production environment while achieving KPI thresholds

• Assist with customer onboarding, ad hoc requests, sustainment, and continuous service improvement initiatives

• Identify discrepancies between standard workflows and custom requirements

• Provide out-of-the-box solutions to reduce the need for customization

• Ensure system integrity through configuration control and change management practices

• Oversee sprint workload, anticipate deliverables and deadlines, execute milestones, minimize technical debt, and demonstrate completed sprint products

• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and leadership

• Engage in on-call rotations, daily scrums, sprint planning, technical implementation reviews, approved service interruption windows, and other requests

• Collaborate in a remote team setting with scheduled and ad hoc video/audio meetings

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

• Must be able to secure and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to the start date

• US citizenship is required

• BMC Accredited Administrator or equivalent experience in Remedy/Helix Developer Studio

• Proficient with SaaS solutions or AWS Cloud environments

• Experience with BMC Remedy version 23.x or higher

• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies

• Knowledge of Helix/Remedy application process flows

• Expert understanding of one or more Helix applications version 23.x+, including Incident Management, Remedy Knowledge Management, Change Management, Task Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Service Request Management, Work Order Management, Smart Reporting, Helix Dashboards, Smart IT, Digital Workplace Portal, CMDB, or Asset Management

• Experience with Pentaho Spoon, BMC HDM, REST API, or WebServices for system interfaces or data migration

• Background working in an Agile project methodology environment

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in creating and editing documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Advanced data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel or similar tools

• Capability to create and illustrate process flows using Microsoft Visio or a comparable tool

• Experience managing documents in Microsoft SharePoint

• Working knowledge of relational databases

• Understanding of networking concepts and OSI rules

• Ability to utilize logging for troubleshooting issues

• Experience in providing customer demonstrations

• Proficient in gathering and documenting customer requirements

• Experience collaborating on multiple projects with team members

• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting

• CompTIA Security+ CE certification is required; it may be obtained within 3 months of the start date

• Bachelor's degree; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

• Available for 40 hours per week as scheduled
