SAP PLMSI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Configure and tailor the SAP PLMSI framework to accurately map, transform, and transfer engineering data from external PLM systems into SAP S/4HANA.

• Develop and sustain integration logic, mapping rules, and data transformation schemas utilizing SAP PLMSI tools and APIs.

• Implement custom business logic, BAdIs, and user exits tailored to customer-specific data structures.

• Ensure the transfer of EBOM from PLM to SAP, facilitating MBOM creation and production routings within SAP PEO.

• Align PLM data structures with the requirements of SAP master data.

• Support engineering change integration to ensure that manufacturing execution utilizes the most recent approved designs.

• Design, develop, and oversee interfaces using SAP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP Gateway OData services, IDocs, and REST/SOAP APIs.

• Collaborate with external PLM technical teams regarding interface contracts, payloads, and communication protocols.

• Troubleshoot and resolve interface errors, data discrepancies, and performance issues.

• Create technical design specifications, data mapping documents, and architecture diagrams.

• Develop and execute unit, system integration, and user acceptance tests.

• Provide hypercare and tier-3 technical support, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizen.

• Practical experience in SAP ecosystem development, with a focus on SAP PLM or PLM-ERP integration.

• Direct experience in configuring and developing with the SAP PLMSI framework.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, particularly with PEO or PP/PP-DS manufacturing modules.

• Strong ABAP development abilities, including Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Frameworks.

• Proficiency in OData Services/SAP Gateway, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, ALE/IDocs, and RFCs.

• Understanding of PLM concepts, such as part management, EBOM/MBOM transformation, change management, and document management.

• Knowledge of XML, JSON, and API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI.

• Excellent analytical and debugging capabilities.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Preferred: Experience in SAP integration with Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE.

• Preferred: SAP certifications in ABAP Development, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP PLM.

• Preferred: Understanding of SAP Manufacturing Execution or Digital Manufacturing.
