BMC Remedy/Helix Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise regarding application and integration functionalities.

• Collect requirements and develop presentations and demonstrations for stakeholders.

• Draft requirements and design documentation, implementation guides, and testing scripts.

• Create workflows and integrations using Developer Studio and Innovation Studio.

• Construct forms, fields, workflows, and data import files for Foundation and Transactional Data.

• Develop REST API, web service, and LDAP integrations between Helix and external systems.

• Create Digital Workplace service offerings.

• Address incident assignments and maintain communication with customers within service-level agreements.

• Generate follow-on change requests and Jira stories.

• Prepare and coordinate change requests while adhering to operating procedures.

• Maintain and refresh the production environment to meet KPI thresholds.

• Assist with customer onboarding, ad-hoc requests, sustainment, and ongoing service improvement initiatives.

• Identify discrepancies between standard workflows and custom needs.

• Provide out-of-the-box solutions to reduce the necessity for customization.

• Ensure system integrity through configuration control and change management.

• Manage sprint workload, anticipate deliverables, execute milestones, minimize technical debt, and showcase completed sprint products.

• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and leadership.

• Participate in on-call rotations, daily scrums, sprint planning, technical implementation reviews, service interruption change windows, and other requests.

• Operate within a remote team environment, supporting both scheduled and ad-hoc video/audio meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience.

• BMC Accredited Administrator or equivalent experience with Remedy/Helix Developer Studio.

• Familiarity with SaaS solutions or AWS Cloud environments.

• Experience with BMC Remedy version 23.x or higher.

• Proficiency in ITIL methodologies.

• Expert-level knowledge of one or more Helix applications version 23.x or later.

• Experience with Pentaho Spoon, BMC HDM, REST API, or web services for interfacing or data migration.

• Background in working within an Agile project methodology environment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Competence in creating and editing documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Advanced data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

• Ability to create and illustrate process flows in Microsoft Visio or comparable applications.

• Experience managing documentation within Microsoft SharePoint.

• Basic understanding of relational databases.

• Knowledge of networking concepts and OSI model principles.

• Capability to use logging to troubleshoot issues.

• Experience in conducting customer demonstrations.

• Proven ability to gather and document customer requirements.

• Experience collaborating on multiple projects with team members.

• Track record of working effectively in a remote setting.

• Ability to obtain and hold an Interim Secret security clearance before commencing work.

• CompTIA Security+ CE certification, which must be achieved within 3 months from the start date.

• Bachelor's degree; additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• U.S. citizenship is required.
