This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Perform virtual and/or on-site evaluations of customer locations, including field canvassing.
• Create tailored recommendations for customers and present them convincingly.
• Collaborate with and support a portfolio of customers in executing recommendations.
• Utilize behavior change techniques to assist customers in completing implementation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customers, industry partners, and relevant contacts in the waste diversion market.
• Deliver virtual and in-person presentations at workshops and conferences as required.
• Monitor and document project information and data using Salesforce.
• Stay informed about technologies, market conditions, and strategies that promote facility waste diversion initiatives.
• Calculate waste diversion tonnage and associated cost savings.
• Provide insights and feedback on the technical content for various resources.
• Network to uncover new opportunities and generate leads, including occasional cold calling.
• Travel across the New England service area for up to four days each week, possibly including overnight stays.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in waste diversion, with 1-3 years in a commercial setting.
• Preferred experience in selling services, with a proven ability to close projects.
• Background in education, educational materials, or educational services is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the capability to engage diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in a second language is preferred; Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin are particularly beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple programs and deliverables.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to track and report on results effectively.
• A flexible, dependable, and self-motivated work style.
• Home office/remote work environment must feature high-speed internet access and be free from distractions during business hours.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office is required.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and background check prior to the hire date.
• Residency within the assigned territory is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 80% of the time is essential.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel is required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and possess an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
