This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding warranty claims.
• Oversee the complete warranty claim process for covered equipment, which includes gas and steam turbines, generators, MSD, HRSG, and plant BOP.
• Serve as a liaison among customers, Functions, and Business Lines to facilitate claim resolution.
• Apply the Global Warranty Governance Framework to assigned sites.
• Perform initial investigations to verify the validity of technical and contractual warranty claims.
• Evaluate the decision to repair or replace based on technical viability, cost, schedule implications, and contractual commitments.
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, installation records, operational data, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Contract Management, and Global Warranty teams.
• Organize warranty execution and assist in punch list closure, including parts, resources, and tools.
• Aid customer conversations concerning claim planning, execution, and resolution.
• Establish and track warranty cost controls, estimates, budgets, forecasts, cost recovery, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate financial reviews and secure management approvals.
• Track and report warranty expenditures against the budget, highlighting risks and variance drivers.
• Assist in root cause analysis to identify failure modes and accountability.
• Recognize recurring defect patterns and communicate insights to Engineering and Product teams.
• Hold weekly warranty meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a detailed warranty log of open, closed, and disputed claims.
• Prepare and deliver warranty status reports, dashboards, and metrics.
• Document warranty records, correspondence, and decisions in accordance with company standards and contractual agreements.
• Identify and promote initiatives for productivity and process enhancement.
• Partner with Global and Pole Warranty teams to adopt best practices and standardize processes.
• Utilize Lean principles to enhance workflows and operational discipline.
• Provide training for Warranty Engineers, CPMs, and process stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field) from an accredited university or college, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in the power generation sector.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry, ideally in services, quality, warranty, or field operations.
• Strong technical expertise in heavy-duty power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, BOP systems, and HRSG.
• Capability to manage costs, forecasts, schedules, and resources.
• Proficient in collaborating with and influencing customers and internal stakeholders.
• Skilled in managing challenging conversations and maintaining professional relationships under pressure.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to visit customer sites or GE facilities.
• Field experience with gas/steam turbines, generators, or other heavy-duty power generation equipment.
• Familiarity with field service execution, encompassing labor, tooling, and third-party vendor management.
• Background in warranty management and strong commercial insight.
• Experience in reading and interpreting commercial/technical contracts and warranty provisions.
• Ability to perform or coordinate root cause analysis and investigations of failure modes.
• Highly collaborative mindset with a proven track record of driving change.
• Ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders without direct authority.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision in a global, matrixed organization.
• Proficient in making data-driven decisions in ambiguous and fast-paced settings.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Familiarity with AI-based tools for enhancing productivity.
