This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding warranty claims and ensure ongoing communication about claim status, timelines, and results.
• Oversee the entire warranty claim process for covered equipment, which includes gas and steam turbines, generators, MSD, HRSG, and plant BOP.
• Facilitate communication between customers, various Functions, and Business Lines to expedite claim resolution.
• Execute the Global Warranty Governance Framework, ensuring adherence to standard practices, readiness for handover, escalation processes, resource and cost management, and performance metrics.
• Conduct investigations into claims to verify their technical and contractual legitimacy.
• Evaluate repair versus replacement options considering feasibility, costs, timelines, and contractual duties.
• Analyze technical documents, including design specifications, installation records, operational data, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Contract Management, and Global Warranty teams on contractual obligations and risk management requirements.
• Organize and implement warranty work, covering parts, resources, tooling, and closure of any punch lists.
• Establish and oversee warranty cost controls, budgets, forecasts, recovery of costs, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate financial assessments and track warranty expenditures against budget constraints.
• Assist with root cause analyses and investigations into failure modes.
• Detect recurring defect patterns and relay insights to Engineering and Product teams.
• Hold weekly warranty meetings with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain warranty logs and produce status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Promote productivity, process enhancements, best practices, and standardization initiatives.
• Apply Lean principles and provide training support for Warranty Engineers, CPMs, and process stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline) from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry, ideally in services, quality, warranty, or field operations.
• Strong technical expertise in heavy-duty power-generation equipment, such as gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, BOP systems, and HRSG.
• Ability to manage costs, forecasts, schedules, and resources while collaborating with and influencing customers and internal teams.
• Customer-oriented with the capability to handle challenging discussions and sustain professional relationships under stress.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations for customer visits or GE facilities.
• Field experience with gas/steam turbines, generators, or other heavy-duty power-generation equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of field-service execution, labor, tooling, and management of third-party vendors is a plus.
• Background in warranty management and strong commercial insight are advantageous.
• Experience in interpreting commercial/technical contracts and warranty terms is beneficial.
• Capability to conduct or coordinate root cause analyses and investigations into failure modes is preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously within a global, matrixed organization and under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in data-driven decision-making in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Familiarity with AI-based tools to boost productivity.
