This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct system scoping, screening, and aging management evaluations of nuclear plant systems for future license renewal submissions.
• Work in conjunction with engineering and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with NRC regulations and commitments related to license extensions.
• Execute engineering program basis documentation, validate data, track engineering changes, and manage configuration control.
• Plan necessary inspections to adhere to NRC regulations and fulfill license renewal obligations.
• Examine inspection work orders to confirm that license renewal criteria are satisfied.
• Engage with clients and/or the NRC in a role of technical expertise.
• Stay informed about modifications in aging management regulations, methodologies, techniques, and operational experiences.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovative practices, and collaborative efforts across functions.
• Assist in the license extensions for nuclear power plants and support activities post-license approval throughout the U.S. nuclear power plant fleet.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, licensing engineering, program engineering, design engineering, power plant inspection, or AI, preferably in nuclear or a highly regulated sector.
• Proven experience in delivering precise, high-quality technical documentation within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation systems, nuclear QA/QC standards, and configuration management processes.
• Strong systems thinking capabilities with the ability to balance innovation alongside compliance, safety, and traceability.
• Background in nuclear power plant operations, engineering, or design is preferred.
• Familiarity with NRC, INPO, or DOE regulations is desirable.
• Previous engagement in license renewal, subsequent license renewal, or nuclear aging management initiatives is preferred.
• Knowledge of NUREG-1800, NUREG-1801, NEI 95-10, NUREG-2191, NUREG-2192, NUREG-2221, NEI 17-01, and/or NUREG 1555 is advantageous.
• Experience and/or involvement with the Nuclear Energy Institutes’ License Renewal Task Force is preferred.
