This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• In the role of VP or Director of Engineering, leverage extensive experience and insights to guide the development and maintenance of secure applications that are highly available and infinitely scalable.
• Present well-reasoned and knowledgeable arguments regarding architecture, data storage, implementation, and technology stack choices.
• Mentor engineers to produce code that is comprehensive, complete, and aligned with design specifications.
• Create tools that enhance our capability to swiftly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, and Cloudflare.
• Evaluate new and existing systems design projects as well as procurement or outsourcing plans to ensure alignment with standards and architectural guidelines.
• Provide updates on the progress of development, quality, operations, and system performance.
• Solid background in agile methodologies with the ability to mentor others in their application.
• Hands-on player-coach mentality.
• Supervise engineering staff to ensure they meet their goals and objectives.
• Enhance and uphold coding standards and style guides for consistency and scalability in a domain-driven tech environment.
• Actively participate in the recruiting process to help expand our engineering team.
• Serve as a strategist and advocate for enterprise architecture and design principles.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
• Provide training and mentorship as required.
• Execute functional and performance simulations of a complete interconnect solution utilizing both transaction-level and processor/software-driven models.
• Ensure compliance with organizational tech policies across the entire infrastructure in the full technology landscape.
• Strong familiarity with Typescript, NodeJs, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCi, and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Proficient in both modern SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, or MongoDB, etc.).
