This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development and validation of innovative technology-driven solutions in Spend Management as part of Vizient’s Research & Development team.
• Collaborate with Product, Spend Management, and cross-functional Data & Digital leaders to pinpoint and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
• Formulate venture strategies predicated on unfulfilled customer needs, market conditions, unique assets, and value generation.
• Oversee ventures from the initial thesis stage through customer discovery, MVP development, pilot implementation, product-market validation, and readiness for transition.
• Act as the accountable executive for venture strategy, guidance, customer results, investment priorities, and performance at the R&D stage.
• Cultivate relationships with senior healthcare executives and lead customer discovery, co-development, design partnerships, and pilot initiatives.
• Establish value hypotheses and showcase measurable impacts on financial, operational, and strategic customer outcomes.
• Synthesize perspectives from product, technology, data, artificial intelligence, domain knowledge, commercial aspects, and implementation into a cohesive venture strategy.
• Build and manage interdisciplinary teams across Data & Digital, Spend Management, and enterprise functions.
• Foster shared ownership across organizational boundaries through decision rights, transparency, mutual accountability, and a focus on customer value.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations to expedite, redirect, pause, or halt investments.
• Anticipate and address dependencies related to data, technology, architecture, security, legal considerations, contracting, customer access, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with commercial and product leaders to validate positioning, pricing, implementation, adoption, and go-to-market assumptions.
• Engage with the core product organization to ready validated ventures for transition and scaling.
• Define transition criteria and ensure the transfer of customer insights, product strategy, market evidence, technical context, and operational requirements.
• Extensive executive leadership experience in building new products, businesses, or technology-enabled services within complex enterprise markets.
• Direct experience in healthcare Spend Management, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or financial performance.
• Proven success in advancing opportunities from concept through customer validation, product development, pilot phases, and initial market traction.
• Experience managing integrated business, product, customer, and operational outcomes.
• Demonstrated capacity to translate intricate customer challenges into distinctive solutions and compelling value propositions.
• Experience in developing products supported by data, analytics, artificial intelligence, or integration of enterprise workflows.
• Strong commercial acumen, including business-case formulation, pilot structuring, willingness-to-pay validation, and early go-to-market strategies.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and align senior stakeholders across various business units and functions.
• Proficiency in allocating resources, managing investment trade-offs, and making significant decisions amidst incomplete information.
