This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the planning, execution, and operational readiness for Medicare Advantage market expansions that have been approved.
• Develop and manage implementation roadmaps, operational readiness plans, and launch milestones for new markets at the state, county, and regional levels.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to turn approved market strategies into actionable launch plans.
• Establish governance frameworks for launches, track milestones, and provide executive reporting.
• Evaluate operational capabilities, dependencies for launch, and implementation risks.
• Ensure a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing operations, including post-launch stabilization and capturing lessons learned.
• Lead technology implementation initiatives across the enterprise that support Medicare Advantage growth and operational transformation.
• Collaborate with Information Technology and business leaders on strategies and execution plans for implementation.
• Drive the redesign of business processes and optimize operations through technology.
• Ensure the integration of systems, vendors, and operational functions.
• Establish methodologies for implementation management, governance structures, and steering committees.
• Manage a portfolio of concurrent market and technology initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for implementation, budget performance, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Deliver executive-level reports to senior leadership and board committees.
• Ensure all implementations adhere to CMS Medicare Advantage regulations, state requirements, HIPAA, NCQA standards, and internal compliance policies.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure readiness for implementation and audit preparedness.
• Identify compliance risks and implement strategies for mitigation.
• Conduct organizational readiness assessments and formulate implementation plans.
• Develop strategies for change management and communication.
• Ensure workforce readiness through effective training, process documentation, and operational support planning.
• Promote the adoption of new technologies, workflows, and operating models.
• Establish post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the assigned team, including recruiting, selecting, onboarding, training, workload distribution, performance monitoring, coaching, counseling, and managing performance.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in health plan operations, healthcare consulting, implementation management, or healthcare technology leadership.
• At least 7 years of executive-level leadership experience.
• Proven success in launching Medicare Advantage products and/or entering new markets.
• Experience in leading large-scale technology implementations within a managed care environment.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage operational, regulatory, and financial requirements.
• Experience managing enterprise program portfolios with implementation investments exceeding $10M.
• A proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams and managing complex organizational transformations.
• Required bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrate strong execution discipline.
• Excellent leadership, influence, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with interpreting both clinical and financial data.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to innovation, member-centric care, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to meet specified physical requirements, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.
• Pay range of $227,952.00–$341,928.00.
