This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Innovatively pitch frontline and catalog repertoire, achieving sync placements across film, television, advertising, sports, video games, and more.
• Take the lead in negotiating licensing clearances.
• Collaborate with Firebird's legal and finance teams to handle paperwork and invoicing.
• Create a detailed sync database that compiles recorded music, publishing, and related rights and data from all of Firebird's label and publisher partners, as well as applicable management clients.
• Work alongside creative teams within our recorded music partners — and their internal or third-party sync solutions — to discover and foster opportunities.
• Actively develop new business relationships and partnerships.
• Demonstrate experience working in a team utilizing agile software development methodologies. Oversee product releases, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders, adherence to timelines, and smooth execution of pre- and post-launch processes. Collaborate with product management to create operational plans for market readiness across all functions. Monitor product releases and identify potential issues, coordinating troubleshooting and communication efforts.
• Function as a liaison among product management, engineering, and other departments to ensure effective communication and project execution. Assist product teams with resource allocation, project scheduling, and coordination of essential deliverables. Partner with product management to collect, prioritize, and disseminate customer feedback.
• Implement and sustain tools and systems that enhance product operations, including project management software, data platforms, and feedback management tools. Keep documentation of product processes, requirements, workflows, and best practices current for reference and training purposes.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in synchronization licensing at a record label or music publishing company.
• Established connections and a broad network within the sync community.
• Strong negotiation abilities with a proven track record of driving revenue.
• In-depth understanding of contract execution and administrative procedures related to synchronization rights.
• Demonstrated experience in managing, documenting, and administering license terms and conditions.
• Advanced knowledge of music rights databases and digital rights management systems.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex legal and financial concepts to both creative and business partners.
