đź“‹ Description

• Lead, develop, and expand a cohesive production organization comprising three teams—Senior Event Production, Virtual Content & Events, and Digital Production—mentoring their leaders (Senior Director, Manager, and Senior Manager) to ensure consistent, high-quality output across all formats.

• Own the production strategy and execution throughout the complete product ecosystem—large national conferences, regional and local workshops, virtual events, CME and non-CME content programs, and digital video and podcast production—ensuring that each format adheres to a unified quality standard.

• Define and protect a consistent brand experience across all offerings, ensuring that every interaction—whether live, virtual, or on-demand—exudes the distinct look, feel, and audience experience of HCEsquared.

• Oversee production infrastructure and vendor management across various formats, managing AV, staging, run-of-show, broadcast and streaming, studio and field video, audio and podcast production, and both onsite and virtual technical delivery.

• Manage production economics across the portfolio, collaborating with Product, Finance, Operations, and vendors to plan, monitor, and control costs while achieving margin targets across live, virtual, and digital product lines.

• Establish operational rhythms, workflows, and quality benchmarks across the three teams, ensuring dependable handoffs, shared best practices, and predictable delivery at scale.

• Collaborate with Product, CME, Marketing, Data & Tech, and Sales leadership as the production authority on feasibility, sponsor/funder fulfillment, and new-format development, ensuring that all commitments are fulfilled as promised and that new products are production-ready upon launch.

• Provide production insights, constraints, and opportunities to the Head of Product and Product Line Leaders to inform portfolio strategy, investment, and roadmap decisions across the entire ecosystem.

• Advocate for innovation in production—new formats, technologies, and workflows—that enhance the audience experience and broaden HCEsquared's outreach to its community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.

• Over 15 years of experience in live event, virtual, and digital content production, with progressive leadership across various formats.

• Proven track record managing event portfolios exceeding $40M and multi-event calendars.

• Extensive expertise in AV, staging, production infrastructure, and vendor management.

• Practical experience in producing virtual events and livestream/broadcast programming, including streaming platforms, remote production workflows, and webinar delivery.

• Demonstrated experience in producing digital content—studio and field video, podcasts, and on-demand series—across all stages: pre-production, production, and post-production.

• Proven capability to lead and develop teams with 8 or more direct reports.

• Strong skills in budget management with P&L accountability.

• Excellence in vendor negotiation and contract management.

• Ability to manage crises and solve problems in real-time under pressure.

• Proficiency in event management platforms (Cvent) and project management tools.

• 8-10+ years of experience in healthcare or medical education production (live, virtual, or digital).

• In-depth understanding of CME compliance and accreditation requirements.

• Experience managing pharma-sponsored medical education events.

• Familiarity with HCP audience expectations and engagement preferences.

• Preference for knowledge of dermatology or specialty medicine conferences.

• Understanding of industry compliance (OIG, PhRMA Code).

• Experience with managing medical faculty and speaker requirements.
