This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The primary authority for the physician compensation function within the enterprise, responsible for strategy, policy formulation, model development, data governance, accuracy of calculations, reporting, and the ongoing enhancement of compensation programs.
• Responsible for the calculations of compensation, validation of pay, and preparedness for payroll concerning physician incentive payments, ensuring that results are precise and reliable across all stakeholders; this includes assembling the team tasked with this responsibility.
• Develop and refine compensation models to ensure they are competitive in the market and aligned with enterprise objectives, including conducting intricate analyses on proposed modifications.
• Prepare, analyze, and convey monthly compensation and productivity outcomes to operational leaders, physicians, accounting partners, and senior leadership, translating complex financial data into straightforward, actionable insights.
• Create a centralized physician compensation team that calculates variable incentive payments monthly and determines future compensation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Strategic Finance and Operational Systems on initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and compensation processes, leading and contributing to projects that improve systems, workflows, and analytical tools to support practice growth and operational sustainability.
• 7–8+ years of advanced experience in healthcare services, physician practice management, or professional services.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of pertinent business experience.
• Experience with compensation for physicians and other clinical roles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and a commitment to follow through.
• Ability to summarize extensive data analyses and draw insightful conclusions.
• Capability to engage with various organizational levels on sensitive and complex matters as required.
• Advanced analytical and financial skills, including the ability to design, validate, and interpret intricate compensation and productivity models using large datasets (e.g., volumes, RVUs, incentive structures, and performance metrics), while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and auditability.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, with experience in building and scaling high-performing teams, establishing clear expectations, developing talent, and ensuring accountability within a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong program and change management abilities, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, and delivering sustainable process, system, and workflow enhancements.
• Exceptional executive communication and storytelling capabilities, with the talent to translate complex financial and operational analyses into clear narratives, decision points, and actionable recommendations for physicians, operational leaders, and senior executives.
