This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Report directly to the Senior Vice-President of the Worldwide Public Sector.
• Spearhead strategic technical interactions with field teams to design public sector solutions and technical architectures on a global scale.
• Lead a team of technical specialists to enhance sales growth and tackle intricate business challenges faced by customers and prospects.
• Assist in finalizing public sector opportunities in specific markets and influence substantial, multi-year government contracts worldwide.
• Ensure that OpenText solutions are effectively positioned, technical risks are managed proactively, and teams are aligned with corporate and regional revenue objectives.
• Recruit, nurture, and guide the Worldwide Public Sector technical organization.
• Establish standards of excellence within the organization and empower technical resources to position, showcase, and articulate the business value of OpenText Enterprise Information Management solutions.
• Provide technical and architectural guidance throughout intricate sales processes.
• Develop extensive government solutions, mitigate technical risks, resolve product concerns, and guarantee that customized solutions provide value.
• Shape public sector solution strategies and create customer-specific and sector-specific value propositions.
• Enable partners and offer executive-level advice on solution selling and business value.
• Cultivate and lead a high-performing global public sector technical organization.
• Support the pursuit and closure of large-scale, multi-year government initiatives.
• Enhance technical positioning, solution architecture, competitive differentiation, and risk management.
• Forge relationships with executive customers, Client Executives, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain team performance, develop talent, and address performance issues.
• Utilize Salesforce and other data sources to create ROI metrics, reporting, and insights for operational and sales management decisions.
• Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert in Public Sector within Solution Consulting.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership, Client Executives, Solutions Consultants, Architecture, Value Engineering, Product Units, Global Services, and partners.
• Engage with senior government and enterprise executives to address complex business challenges.
• Influence technical architectures and solution strategies for large-scale government programs.
• Develop innovative public sector solutions and compelling value propositions.
• Provide technical leadership in complex and customized sales opportunities while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Empower partners and field organizations to enhance their solution-selling capabilities.
• Represent OpenText at company and industry events, engaging with customers and partners across global markets.
• Over 10 years of experience in software, cloud, AI, Enterprise Information Management, or related technology domains.
• More than 7 years of experience with large public sector programs and government clients.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing and developing technical teams.
• Demonstrated success in pre-sales, solution consulting, enterprise software, or technology sales environments.
• Proven experience in leading and managing technical consultants and complex solution initiatives.
• Strong comprehension of Enterprise Information Management technologies, business processes, and the software industry.
• Experience in supporting and influencing large, complex, multi-year government opportunities.
• Exceptional solution-selling skills.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a compelling and commercial manner.
• Proficiency in engaging effectively with Corporate Executives, VPs, and C-level audiences.
• Outstanding presentation, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, ownership of tasks, and sound judgment.
• Capability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with customers, partners, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary within the assigned region and to company and industry events.
