This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Personally engage in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors and prospects.

• Foster relationships that can yield significant investments in the range of 5-, 6-, and 7-figures.

• Build connections with philanthropists, foundations, community leaders, executives, and influential connectors.

• Make direct requests and secure substantial gifts.

• Carry a significant personal fundraising target and achieve noteworthy revenue.

• Oversee, mentor, and develop JGO’s fundraising professionals.

• Set expectations for fundraising, accountability, portfolio strategies, and pipeline discussions.

• Recruit and assemble a strong development team.

• Provide strategic advice to the Director of Operations, CEO, and senior leadership.

• Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, talent, and innovative ideas.

• Represent JGO to donors, foundations, Jewish community leaders, partners, and external stakeholders.

• Immerse yourself in JGO’s programs, students, alumni, and overall impact.

• Articulate JGO’s work as a compelling case for philanthropic support.

• Communicate JGO’s vision effectively through donor meetings, presentations, events, and discussions.

• Enhance the major gifts strategy, donor pipeline, and moves-management procedures.

• Ensure strategic and consistent use of CRM systems.

• Establish fundraising objectives, metrics, forecasts, and accountability mechanisms.

• Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop scalable systems for fundraising.

• Assess performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a successful fundraiser.

• Proven history of personally securing significant philanthropic contributions or managing high-value relationships.

• Experience in managing, mentoring, or leading fundraising professionals.

• Strong instincts regarding major gifts, donor strategy, and relationship management.

• Existing connections within Jewish philanthropy or the broader Jewish community are beneficial but not essential.

• Comfort engaging with major philanthropists, executives, rabbis, students, community leaders, and entrepreneurs.

• Exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, and commitment to follow-through.

• Willingness to travel frequently for donor meetings, student experiences, and JGO events.

• A sense of humor, curiosity, energy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced organization.

• An entrepreneurial, ambitious, creative, and deeply relational mindset.

• Outstanding communication abilities.

• A profound connection to JGO’s mission.

• Comfort engaging across the Jewish community.

• A strong desire for personal and professional growth.
