VP, Software Engineering – NwPS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Establish the engineering vision and long-term technical roadmap for Network Powered Solutions, ensuring alignment of investments and priorities with product strategy and commercial OKRs.

• Serve as the engineering representative on the SA NwPS leadership team, collaborating closely with Product, Solution Sales, and Strategic Business Development.

• Collaborate with the CTO, Architecture, and SA CPaaS Engineering to define shared platform standards and best practices.

• Determine the architectural direction for NwPS engineering and directly oversee the Architecture function.

• Develop architectural standards, technical design governance, and domain architecture for all NwPS products.

• Drive technical decision-making regarding platform design, CSP integration patterns, and engineering standards.

• Formulate and implement the engineering strategy for agentic AI and data platforms.

• Set the technical direction for AI-based analytics and insight platforms.

• Collaborate with Product on proof-of-concepts, product opportunities, investment decisions, and ensuring production readiness.

• Convert engineering strategy into comprehensive delivery across NwPS products, establishing benchmarks for quality, cycle time, and operational excellence.

• Oversee QA/SDET capabilities and SRE practices to ensure platform reliability at scale.

• Assist DevRel engineering for the NwPS developer ecosystem.

• Work together with Product, Commercial, and the GM to translate thought leadership into engineering results for agentic AI, digital identity, and emerging network API categories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience leading engineering organizations in SaaS, data platform, or AI/ML product sectors at a scale, ideally at the VP or Senior Director level.

• Practical experience with cloud-native engineering and AWS within a product context.

• Proven track record in building or managing agentic AI or AI-based analytics platforms, with a deep understanding of data-driven product architecture.

• Demonstrated capability to scale and lead distributed, multi-squad engineering teams, including significant team growth and management during structural changes.

• Ability to function as both a strategic thought leader and a credible technical authority.

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments; comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking calculated risks, and executing rapidly.

• Strong collaboration skills with Product, Commercial, and executive stakeholders across EMEA and APAC time zones.

• Knowledge of telco/network API standards (CAMARA, GSMA) or CSP integration patterns is a plus.

• Experience with developer-facing API products or platforms is advantageous.

• Background in identity, authentication, or network-based security products is beneficial.

• Exposure to FinTech, Healthcare, or Transportation sectors as end-customer segments is a plus.
