Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance secure, high-performing, and resilient SaaS platform solutions for Studio clients.

• Offer technical leadership in the design, implementation, and management of SaaS solutions.

• Collaborate with Architecture, InfoSec, DevOps, and Product Management to actualize the product vision through a team of engineers.

• Engage in architecture, coding, research, and decision-making across various technologies, projects, features, and platforms.

• Achieve optimal outcomes while ensuring timely delivery aligned with project requirements.

• Mentor and provide technical support to junior developers.

• Quickly adapt to complex challenges and codebases to make substantial contributions to projects.

• Act as the primary expert for intricate areas within the systems.

• Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to transform vaguely defined requirements into robust, demonstrable applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of industry experience in developing highly available backend services.

• More than 10 years of experience building applications that operate in the cloud using AWS.

• At least 5 years of experience leading a team of developers on progressively larger projects.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing direct reports.

• Experience serving as the technical lead on multi-year projects, breaking down tasks into manageable milestones and driving them to fruition.

• Recent development experience in C# (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core).

• Recent demonstrable expertise with Golang.

• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture, containerization, and container orchestration.

• Extensive experience designing and constructing cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS.

• Solid understanding of relational SQL databases, preferably Postgres or similar.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complexities of MS Entity Framework.

• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as AWS DynamoDB or MongoDB.

• Experience working in a fully automated CI/CD environment, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).

• Proven track record of collaborating with business and technology teams to understand requirements and convert them into valuable technology solutions.

• Eagerness to learn and broaden skills and knowledge base.

• Positive attitude, team-oriented, results-driven, and well-organized.

• Experience mentoring team members.
