This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop, implement, and spearhead a comprehensive go-to-market growth strategy and strategic sales plan for the Americas, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
• Provide strategic sales and operational leadership to Cohere’s interdisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Act as the primary representative of Cohere in the Americas, advocating for the company’s vision, products, and services.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to align sales initiatives with broader company objectives.
• Represent Cohere at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, as well as with regulators and government agencies, alongside the Head of Global Public Sector and Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with enterprise-level clients and partners to ensure Cohere’s success in the region. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiating and closing high-value deals.
• Work in tandem with global teams to enhance anchor relationships and establish best practices for enterprise-level project implementations, ensuring robust client engagement throughout project lifecycles.
• Analyze and report on regional market trends, opportunities, client needs, and competitor activities to guide strategic decisions.
• 15+ years of VP level experience leading go-to-market initiatives and driving revenue growth for fast-paced technology organizations in North America.
• A proven history of leading enterprise-level consultative solution sales and business development efforts, with in-depth knowledge of regional GTM strategy, customer success, and resource allocation.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the capability to forge cross-functional relationships and influence at all levels.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed environment, coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams and regions without the necessity for a large direct organization.
• A self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently, taking initiative, and making a significant impact as a ‘builder.’
• Experience in AI or a related industry is highly desirable.
