This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Drive the Bank's growth through strategic business development and management of essential client relationships.
• Generate revenue via sales initiatives and syndication efforts.
• Serve as a point of escalation for intricate client issues and effectively resolve conflicts.
• Structure complex agreements and secure necessary credit approvals.
• Cultivate new business opportunities by reaching out to prospects and clients, while cross-selling credit, trust/investment, and cash management products and services.
• Assess loan applications and cash management service agreements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with risk standards.
• Formulate market strategies, pinpoint opportunities, and enhance client portfolios.
• Represent the bank at industry events and conferences.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to synchronize strategies and address client needs.
• Prepare reports on team performance, client satisfaction, and market trends for senior executives.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with high-value and strategic clients.
• Negotiate high-stakes transactions and identify opportunities for cross-selling and maximizing share-of-wallet.
• Analyze market dynamics, developments within client industries, and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define products, solutions, and strategies tailored to client needs.
• Nurture and expand a portfolio that surpasses ROE thresholds while proactively evaluating client returns.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, compliance policies, laws, and regulations.
• Implement BMO's Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions that align with business strategy.
• 7+ years of applicable experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, or Portfolio Management within a corporate or similar segmented banking environment, emphasizing sales metrics.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Finance, and Accounting.
• Other relevant disciplines or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Comprehensive knowledge and technical expertise acquired through extensive education and professional experience.
• Advanced skills in product knowledge, regulatory compliance, deal structuring, portfolio management, credit risk assessment, project management, customer service, problem solving, negotiation, and relationship building.
• Expertise in financial analysis.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory requirements, internal controls, compliance policies, laws, and regulations.
