This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure blockchain products, systems, and infrastructure pertaining to our blockchain participation and custody services.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to pinpoint and implement enhancements in infrastructure, monitoring, system automation, and incident response.
• Recognize and implement solutions within your domain where processes, automation, or tools can significantly enhance our infrastructure operations.
• Create a present and forward-looking perspective on developments in each area of your domain and how they relate to the business. Establish and convey insights that guide leadership and organizational strategy.
• Continuously research and remain updated on emerging trends in the web3/blockchain sector.
• Identify, scope, and capitalize on new product opportunities that could add value to the business.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed blockchains and protocols to enhance our participation.
• Implement monitoring and observability tools and best practices to guarantee the health, performance, and stability of our blockchain infrastructure.
• Participate in and enhance domain-specific on-call rotations to ensure the ongoing reliability and uptime of our services.
• Collaborate with others to develop and maintain automation scripts and tools that streamline deployment, scaling, and recovery processes.
• Previous software engineering or application development experience in a modern programming language (such as .Net, Go, Rust, C/C++, Java, etc.).
• Proven experience working with blockchain infrastructure or a strong understanding of the blockchain domain (including proof-of-stake consensus, web3, rpc, etc.).
• Solid understanding of custody key management, generation, HSMs, and MPC technologies.
• Experience or familiarity with Chainlink systems, services, or the ecosystem.
• Proficiency in scripting with a high-level scripting language like Python, Perl, or bash, along with the capability to identify human processes suitable for scripting and automation.
• Extensive knowledge of compute-infrastructure systems, tooling, observability, and debugging strategies, combined with a research-oriented mindset and a commitment to preventing the recurrence of the same problems.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex application flows that span multiple systems, with the ability to identify server, network, and application issues and apply measurable remediations.
• Working familiarity with Linux systems, system performance optimization, and command line tools.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM, Docker, or similar).
• Practical experience with monitoring and observability tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, LogDNA, etc.).
• Conceptual understanding of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and network security (firewalls, traffic filtering).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, determine their root causes, and navigate them to resolution.
