VP Product Ecosystem – Hardware, Software, IoT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and articulate a compelling long-term vision and narrative for the product.

• Align teams and leadership around defined priorities and expected outcomes.

• Distill complex information into straightforward strategic directions.

• Establish and direct a unified product strategy across hardware, software, and IoT-enabled solutions.

• Transform the product landscape into a clear and scalable portfolio and platform strategy.

• Drive prioritization among competing demands while balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.

• Manage strategic relationships with external partners.

• Link product decisions to commercial results (such as revenue, adoption, retention, and pricing models).

• Collaborate closely with commercial teams to establish value propositions and monetization strategies.

• Enhance product-market fit and expedite customer adoption across various segments.

• Ensure seamless integration of physical containers, IoT infrastructure, and digital platforms.

• Design products that integrate device, connectivity, and data intelligence into a cohesive customer and user experience.

• Utilize real-time data, analytics, and AI to generate actionable, high-value insights for customers.

• Lead and nurture a team of Product Managers and Product Owners.

• Bring clarity to roles, decision-making processes, and operational methods.

• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing learning.

• Serve as a key collaborator with the CTO and engineering leadership.

• Bridge the gaps between engineering, hardware, commercial, and operations teams.

• Ensure that product teams remain closely connected to customer needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in product management, including senior leadership positions.

• Proven experience in building, scaling, or transforming intricate product ecosystems.

• Strong knowledge and experience with products that merge physical and digital technologies:

• Hardware, IoT & connected devices.

• Software platforms & cloud environments.

• Data platforms or digital ecosystems.

• Experience managing end-to-end product portfolios, rather than just individual products, from the initial discovery of product-market fit through to scaling, maturity, and overseeing established products in the market.

• Exceptional communication and cross-functional stakeholder management skills. While coding is not a requirement, the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams is essential.

• A collaborative leadership approach complemented by strong strategic thinking, a data-driven mindset, and sound judgment.
