Vice President – Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Define, implement, and continuously enhance Cloud Operations KPIs for the entire Matrix42 product portfolio.

• Ensure KPIs are positively trending in line with business goals, including availability, performance, cost efficiency, cloud gross margin, and customer satisfaction.

• Propel operational automation, standardization, and the adoption of best practices (SRE, DevSecOps).

• Develop and sustain platform-agnostic stack components to facilitate flexible deployment models across hyperscalers, private clouds, and on-premises data centers.

• Create a proactive cloud incident management framework to minimize customer-impacting issues.

• Maintain escalation metrics and ensure a consistent downward trend.

• Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to expedite resolutions and ensure timely root cause analysis.

• Oversee cloud cost management and margin optimization for Matrix42 Cloud.

• Implement FinOps practices to enhance resource consumption, vendor contracts, and scaling models.

• Provide flexible deployment models that cater to: Public Cloud (multi-tenant SaaS based on Microsoft Azure), Private Cloud with country-specific data residency, and on-premises/customer data center deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in Cloud Operations and managing SaaS infrastructures within multi-cloud environments.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale SaaS cloud delivery, preferably in Enterprise Service Management, ITSM, UEM, etc.

• Strong financial expertise in cloud cost optimization and margin enhancement.

• Familiarity with CloudOps practices (SRE, FinOps, DevSecOps).

• Proven ability to implement DevOps principles across various units, including Engineering.

• Extensive experience in establishing observability frameworks across network, infrastructure, and application layers in multi-cloud settings (Azure, private cloud, data center).

• Profound knowledge of platform-agnostic cloud stack design and deployment building blocks.

• In-depth understanding of data residency, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in Europe.

• Excellent stakeholder management abilities; capable of partnering with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success teams.
